About us

Concrete floors, done properly

We grind, we test the slab, and we put the number in writing before anything is mixed. That is most of what separates a floor that lasts from one that peels.

Where we work

Why we only work one part of Harris County

Because slabs are local. The ground under Atascocita is not the ground under Katy or Conroe. Two of the four soil series here, Vamont and Atasco, run maximum linear extensibility of 12.8 and 10.0 percent, which is why joints open every summer and why a crack with a lip means something different here than it would on sand. Add 51.84 inches of rain a year and overnight lows in the mid-70s through August, and the cure window narrows in ways a crew driving in from three counties over will not plan for. Staying inside one area is how we keep getting that right.

How we work

What you can expect from us

No sales visit dressed up as an inspection. We measure, test, and tell you what the slab actually needs, including when that is less than you were expecting or a different trade entirely.

    We quote off the slab

On site, after measuring and testing. A number given over the phone is a guess that gets revised later.

We will talk you out of things

Metallic in a working garage, or a coating over a slab that is still moving. Both are money badly spent.

    We stay in our trade

Concrete finishing only. Drainage, foundations and everything else goes to the people who do it properly.

    Clean site

Dust to a vacuum, wash water contained. Nothing reaches a storm drain.

  • Diamond-ground, never acid-etched
  • Moisture tested before quoting
  • Joints detailed, not filled flat
  • Dust vacuumed, slurry contained
  • Written number before anything mixes
  • Locally owned, Harris County weekly

How we work

If the slab is not right, the floor will not be right. We would rather lose the job at the quote than argue about it in eighteen months.
